The world has become more accessible, with many Australian companies taking full advantage of emerging business opportunities, and expanding to service customers in a global market. This has made Air Freight an increasingly popular option for Australian businesses that want their goods delivered to customers fast and efficiently whether they’re at home or abroad.
So if you have a business model that includes fast delivery, it makes good sense to insist on the delivery aspect of your supply chain being seamless, efficient and fast. This is why finding an air freight forwarder who is as committed as you are to getting your goods delivered on time, is so important. Here are some questions frequently asked by our Australia clients who are taking the step to become exporters.
What are the benefits of air freight?
Simply put, if you’re exporting anything which is light, urgently needed, has a short shelf life or requires sensitive climate control, Air Freight is almost certainly your best delivery option.
At MYCARGO, we will allocate you an Account Manager who will take care of all of the paper work and schedule your consignment to arrive on time and in good condition.
Is there any restriction on where I can send air cargo?
Realistically Air freight can be transported everywhere. We can organise delivery to any destination with regular flight connections, and will also arrange customs clearance and delivery direct to client by rail or road freight services.
Is my consignment trackable?
Technology is a wonderful thing and these days, as long as you have an airwaybill-number, and know the name of the airline you can track your shipment using an air cargo tracking website that allows you to track your cargo online in real time.
Who will pack my consignment?
This depends on the nature of your business. Many companies package their own goods ready for collection and shipment. If however you need assistance, MYCARGO can arrange packing on request. As with any type of freight service, each consignment must be appropriately packed and labelled to Customs standards so it can be tracked and where no damage to the goods or aircraft can occur during transportation.
Which airlines do you use?
Air freight can be transported on regular airlines or specially chartered flights. At MYCARGO, we use a mix of aircraft options to best suit the individual nature of the consignment. We have established a trusted global network of providers so that we can offer a comprehensive range of import and export airfreight services to and from any destination worldwide.
I’m ready to export, what are my next steps?
